Tigers Untamed

My thoughts intertwine
like wisteria vine
interlocked boxes
~the wildest of foxes~

A dam of stone, a barbed wire fence, a series of bars and chains
And the saddest thing: I've quite forgotten where I put my keys.
While the endless wall of padlocks shudder, hoping to retire,
Behind the wall that none can scale, an ocean deep, a raging fire.
Where all the creatures fly unnamed
And all my tigers go untamed
If all the water filled my mind,
You'd find the fish of bigger kind.
And maybe someday I'll unlock
Trains will go and clocks will stop
Perhaps I'll open up with ease
Despite my many missing keys.
